“Come on Moonpaw! Time to get up!” a cheerful voice mewed. Moonpaw blinked up at the creamy she-cat. Berrypaw. She sighed, nodding and yawning. Standing she sighed and then looked as Berrypaw left the makeshift den. Moonpaw hated her. For multiple reasons but the most because Duskpaw seemed to love her. Why did she have to be like that? So bright and happy. So pretty.

The stars were glittering brightly in the sky that night as the four leaders gathered at the Gathering one night alone. Their clans were still in camp. It had been a moon since the four apprentices had set out on their quest and they were beginning to feel the effects of the darkness seeking to plague their world.

Cats were dying. Prey was running out. Even the river was beginning to dry out.

“This cannot continue,” Whitestar spat out bitterly, her white fur fluffed out against the cold wind blowing. Thunderclouds overhead had stayed around since the apprentice left.

Chapter 21 ~ The Time of Dark Shadows Begins

There was an eerie silence that night. Moonpaw was slinking through the blackness. She and Duskpaw were going to fid the other two. She knew it. They had to. But she had not yet told her clan she was leaving them. Nor had she even told Barkpaw, who bounded along beside their father like this was his first gathering. Their father looked happy for once, which was a change.

all he saw was shrapnel.
Not like the sort on the battlefield,
at home there were no bodies,
there was no thick sticky blood on his hand,

She stood at the beach,
brushed back a strand of hair

Right. I know you have all been waiting but I cannot get to the computer as often as I'd like these days. I have so much work it's very hard. So until holidays at school, I will be suspending this comic until further notice. Thanks to all those who read everything. I want to write more but hope you can understand how hard it is. I also have a friend at school interested in making the fanfic into a comic, so we'll see how she goes with that.

Anyway....sorry about everything
